I've got a knee in need of a little rehab, think a lightly used exercise bike would do the trick, let me know if you have anything in the Charleston area.

Also my laptop motherboard recently died so I need a replacement laptop.  Looking for something probably between 1-3 yrs old, operating system doesn't matter but does need to be in good mechanical condition.  Wifi a must and battery needs to hold at least an hour charge.

Willing to work out a trade for ammo/mags and maybe cash for either of the above.

Campaign: Fewer gun laws, fewer homicides

The Brady Campaign for Gun Control sent out its scorecard on how the states do on gun control. The report is here.

West Virginia received a score of 4 points out of 100.

According to the Guardian, West Virginia’s homicide rate is 3.03 homicides for every 100,000 people.

60% are firearms-related.

The best Brady score went to California — 79 out of 100.

California’s homicide rate is 5.83 homicides per 100,000.

69% are firearms related.

It gets even better.

Utah scored a zero.

Its homicide rate is 1.5 per 100,000 people.

46% are firearms-related.

I am laughing so hard now that it is difficult to type.

North Dakota also scored 4 out of 100 on the Brady scorecard.

It has the nation’s lowest homicide rate — 0.47 per 100,000.

0% were firearms related.

Zero.

Next lowest nationally in homicides? New Hampshire. It scored a 9 on the Brady scorecard.

Only 17% of those homicides were firearms-related.

So there you have it: More guns, fewer homicides.

I’d like to thank the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence for pointing this out, although I hardly think it meant to.
